Struggling to start a new thread

I’ve been using Brim and noticed something a bit odd when starting a new chat.

I’ll be working in one thread and everything’s fine. Then I click New Chat, type a fresh prompt, and hit enter but instead of opening a new thread, it drops me back into the previous conversation.

It feels quite confusing in the moment because I’m expecting a clean slate. This has happened a few times now and doesn’t seem to be tied to the most recent update.

I wasn’t sure if this is expected behaviour, something in my settings, or just a bug. For context, I’m on the Trusted Testers version of the platform.

Has anyone else run into this, or found an easy way to fix it?

Hi Kai, thanks for flagging this. That definitely isn’t expected behaviour and sounds like a bug on our side.

A quick thing to try first is clearing your browser cookies for Brim and then refreshing. We’ve seen that resolve similar issues in a few cases.
