Positioning AI alongside your existing services

A question that comes up a lot when we speak with Domain Experts is how to introduce AI without confusing clients or diluting the positioning you’ve built over time.

We tend to see two approaches work well.

One is going all in. Repositioning yourself as fully AI enabled and making it central to how you deliver outcomes. This can work well if your clients are already asking for it or you’re happy to lead with innovation.

The other is to keep your existing positioning and introduce AI as an add on. It sits behind the scenes at first or is upsold where it clearly improves speed, quality, or cost without changing how clients see you.

Both approaches can work. The key is choosing the one that fits your client base and how much change they’re ready for.
