AI Tip: Using Chat GPTs Voice Feature

I’ve started using ChatGPT’s voice feature to write things and it’s made me way faster.

I just press the mic button and talk. I don’t try to say things perfectly — I just speak in whatever way the thoughts come to me and what I want it to do. ChatGPT then turns this into something readable.

I’ve found I think better when I speak. As saying things out loud makes me realise when my thoughts don’t quite make sense or when something sounds off. It helps me spot gaps way quicker than if I was just typing.

It’s especially useful when I’m writing longer stuff. I’ll usually plan out a rough structure, then ask ChatGPT to prompt me on each section. I’ll then talk through my answers out loud, and it writes them up . I’ve used this approach to get through 2,000-word docs without having to actually sit there and write every word manually. While avoiding the AI hallucinating information and adding unnecessary details as it’s still my opinions.

Just thought I’d share in case anyone else finds writing slow or wants to try a different approach.

Awesome - I wish they had this feature on Claude. I much prefer how Claude responds. But voice is so helpful.
